After working at "Little Hands on the Farm", we each got a dollar to spend at the grocery store. Eli bought raisins and Aidan bought orange juice.
We decided to sneak in one last adventure before school started, so we headed to Des Moines to the Blank Park Zoo and Iowa State Fair. We had not been to the fair in years and after about a half hour, I realized why. 94 degrees, lots of walking, 2 children to hold onto so they don't disappear. After about 2 hours, Eli asked to go home. We made him stick it out for about another hour before heading for the car. We did enjoy the zoo and the Little Hands on the Farm.
