An Act of Kindness

Fine Dining: A special table in the lunchroom at Eli's school where 2 children from each grade are picked to invite a guest and Fine Dine with them.  It is set with fine china, tablecloth, and centerpiece.  The lunch attendant is the waitress.  Each child gets one week to be the fine diner.  Eli had his turn last Fall and enjoyed inviting classmates to be his guest.  I even joined him for fish sandwiches one day.

On Thursday of this week, something wonderful happened as was retold to me by Michelle-Eli's substitute aide.

Eli: "Michelle, something GREAT just happened!!!"
Michelle:  "Really, What happened?"
Eli: "A. J. just invited me to fine dining!"
Michelle:  "That is Awesome!!"
Eli: "Yes, that is Awesome!!"

This is just one story of many that demonstrates the patience and understanding that Eli's classmates have for him.  In a world full of bullies, I am very thankful for the respect and acceptence he has found at school.

That is awesome. But no wonder, Eli's an awesome kid.

I love your updates, since I miss those boys so much - love reading little bits of their days.

Take care!
