Perspective

Last week we attended the boys' conferences and Eli's IEP(yearly meeting to discuss Eli's education plan).  I find it funny that J.D. simply hears the positive "He's reading at a third grade level."  "His map tests are the highest I have ever had."  And I focus in on the not so good... " He wanders the room."  " Sometimes he stays in from recess to finish his work."  And even though Eli has only had 2(big)  meltdowns this year, I can't help but focus on those...  I worry about what the rest of the year holds.  And what the next visit to Iowa City will reveal.  And the Holidays, which are always a hard time for Eli...  I worry about everything.  He (seems)  to worry about nothing.  Perhaps we balance each other out?
